The Folky Side of Joe

Mendelson Joe
35 Years of Folk Art

"I became a professional musician-folkie when I took to the stage of The Depression Coffee House in Calgary in May of 1964. When I stumbled into painting in ’75, the folk-side of my musical ethic (as songwriter) blossomed in acrylic pigment on canvas and wood. At 65.5, I haven’t slowed this self-taught obsession to depict my life whether it be in song or in pigment or on the page.

Come and behold my folk art spanning thirty-five years of learning and evoking!"
